Importing Personal Folders - duplicates

When our IT person installed Outlook 2003, then imported
my PST files, I ended up with 3 Personal Folder files
(each with duplicate Calendar, Inbox, etc. sub-folders).

I searched Outlook Help, and found an article
specifically about my problem. However, I was unable to
complete the steps the article outlined, as some of the
required menu options weren't available to select.

Are there other ways to solve this problem, perhaps
outside of Outlook 2003?
 
It can be done by removing some registry keys, but I don't recomend it, it's a tedious process and if you make a mistake you can end up with worse problems. Read my post "Avoid Duplicate Folders in Outlook 2003" this is the only way to do it if you want to be a 100% sure to avoid duplicate folders.

The easiest way to get rid of unwanted personal folder sets is to just "close"
them from the folder list. What version of Outlook are you using and what
operating system?
