My new computer is networked with full access to all
folders on my old one. I'm trying to import all the old
Outlook Express 6 messages I've got stored on the old
machine. The wizard is easy enough, but when I get to the
point where I have to identify the folder or file in the
old computer, I'm completely baffled. What is the name of
the file where my old messages are kept? AND... once I
locate it, will they arrive at the new computer in the
same sub-folders? or will I have to reorganize all those
hundreds of saved messages???

There are 3 ways you can do this:

1. manually, the way you are trying to do it
2. Export the messages into a file from the old system, and then import them
on the new one
3. Use the following:

Go to www.oehelp.com/OEBackup/Default.aspx and get OEBACKUP. Run it on the
old PC to create a backup of files and registry configurations. Then
transfer these to the new PC and import them. It handle all the file names
and transfers the user setting, address book, mail folders, etc.
