Importing old Outlook Express files from old pc

I'm attempting to move my old Outlook Express (Outlook
Express 4.7) from my old pc to my new one. I'm using
Outlook Express 2002 on the new machine. I thought I was
looking for .pst files but I didn't see any. Then I read
about .mbx files but I was not able to get that to
work.... I've even tried forwarding the mail to myself
via e-mail but I get an OE has removed message. There
must be an easy way to do this - help, please.
 
First setup Outlook Express again with the dbx-files from your old computer.
Then use Export from within Outlook Express to export your message to
Outlook 2002.
