Importing Old Messages

I made a back-up of my Outlook Express 6 inbox and
subfolders and am now trying to import them into my
Outlook Express 6 re-installation. The files are saved
on a CD but I can't seem to get Outlook Express to
recognize and import the files using the Import
function. Can anyone help me?
