Yes that is correct, expcept it [Outlook] says there are no accounts
to *import*.
Before I did that, I transported all my stored messages etc over and
all came through fine. Now I'm trying to get my account info. over,
and maybe the signatures I've defined in OE6 as well, if possible.
Reason I'm adamant is that I've got around 10 email accounts all
carefully customised in OE6 and don't want to fill all that info all
over again in Outlook.
Let's start at the beginning... you used Outlook's File, Import and
Export menu and selected Import Internet Mail Account Settings and
it says there are no accounts to export?
You're the pro, you tell me.
There's a lot of guess work going on where Outlook is concerned -
this or that doesn't work...

No, it's not true. Outlook can import accounts, except for the
password and as long as you aren't using identities. I don't know
why it won't import yours.
And the only thing that Outlook can do with a "perfectly usable
OE6 box" is import the messages & address book.
Is that it?
