importing .mp3's

I am creating a photo album using powerpoint and would
like to import a .mp3 file as background music. Is there
any plug-ins that allow this to happen or do I have to
convert the file to .wav?

You can use MP3, but it won't be embedded into the file. You'll want to
put the MP3 in the same folder with the PPT presentation before
inserting it. Then, if you move the presentation, be sure to take the
MP3, too.
