Recently I had to re-format my drive, reinstall Windows
200 Pro. I backed up all messages (inbox.dbx ie.) in a
seperate folder to copy to the new installation.

After it was all reloaded I copied all *.dbx files to
their proper place and continuously get an error when
initiating outlook express. Importing these files didnt
work. I get the message "cannot find anyfiles to import".
Does anyone have a way to get al my previous mail back?

Hi Glenn,

See if the following Web Site, authored by Tom Koch, Microsoft MVP for Internet
Explorer and Outlook Express and one of PC Magazine's March 2003 top 100 web sites,
can help.

InsideOE Backup & Restore

Also, there are a lot of Outlook Express newsgroups. You may want to post to one of
those. Your message header seems to indicate that you are posting from the Microsoft
Communities Web Page. I am not certain what version of Outlook Express you are
running, though, so I can't provide a direct link.

Below you will find a link to the main Microsoft Communities Internet Explorer &
Outlook Express Newsgroups Web Page. Start there, then in left-side pane click on
the link for your version of Internet Explorer, then click on the Outlook Express
link.
