Hello all,

I'm sure this question has been asked before, but I can't find any relevant
threads here.

I've just built a brand new Windows 7 machine, and I want to get all my
email messages from my old XP machine which was using Outlook Express, into
my new Outlook 2007 client.

I just can't find out how to do it.

Google hits (and the Outlook help) tell me to copy all the DBX files to the
new machine and run OE there, and then import into Outlook. Problem there is
that I cannot run OE on windows 7.

Next try was to get the OE messages into Windows Live Mail on the win7
machine. That seemed to go ok, but how do I get them from there into
Outlook.

Any suggestions would be gratefully received.

In Windows Live Mail do File-Export-Messages and choose Microsoft Exchange.
That will export all your email into Outlook...

Hi Gordon,

I'd done that and it hadn't seemed to have done anything. But, once you
mentioned it and went and double checked, and the "old" folders were there
under a folder called "Storage Folders/Imported Folders". So they were there
after all.

Thanks for the heads up.
