Bought new computer. OS changed from Win98 to XP. Was
told to go to 'file\export' to export my message file
from Win98. A 9MB file was created with the extension
(.pst). This is a valid Outlook file.
I now have Outlook Express 6 and when I tried to import
that '.pst' file I got the error message "Messages cannot
be imported from the MAPI client".
Where do I go from here?

Thanks in advance for any help,

Keith

Only Outlook, not Outlook Express, will be able to use a .pst file.
Install Outlook on your new computer and then open the file.

Import it into OE on the new machine and then export it to Outlook from
OE.
