i just got a new computer. i have on a cd all
the "Identities" from my old computers microsoft outlook
2002. I have all these DBX files that contain all the
messages from my old computer and i dont know how to make
it so my new computer uses them, or merge them with my
new computer. sorry if thats confusing i'm not sure how
to explain it.

i just want all my messages that i had saved on my old
computer using the same version of outlook to be
transferred to my new computer using the same version of
outlook. i have the dbx files, how do i make this happen?

Thank You
Jessee

Outlook doesn't use DBX files. Outlook Express does. Outlook uses PST
file(s) to hold your data. Do you have those files?

Load the dbx files in Outlook Express on your new computer
first and then if that goes well, export them from OE to
Outlook (you should have Outlook installed all ready on the
new computer).

I'm not sure what to do with more than one identity, but
probably each set of identities will have to be loaded
separately into OE and then exported separately into
Outlook. It's probably best if you move the dbx files to
your hard drive first. You can put them with the exisitng
dbx files on your new computer. Search your hard drive for
..dbx files and put the old ones in that location.
