I have made a new PowerPoint (2000) template and imported a logo into the
master slide. I have tried to import the logo as JPG, GIF and PNG format.
When I try to make a PDF file based on this template, you can see the logo
appearing in "slow motion".

Questions:

1: Do you know which format is best for importing a logo (2 different blue
colours + text)?

2: Do you know if PowerPoint XP or 2003 has a better import function (I have
problems when the logo is transparent)

If you have some advices, please let me know.

In effect, it does a slow "wipe" onto the page in your PDF?
If so, it's probably because the image of the logo is far higher in
resolution that you really need it to be.
The format isn't really relevant. Try importing a lower resolution version
of the logo or set your Distiller preferences to a higher level of
downsampling/compression.

No, they work roughly the same, and you'll generally have various problems
with transparent bitmap images. Try to avoid them if possible.

Hello Harold,

There appear to be a lot of different reasons why customers are choosing
*.PDF as a format for distributing or archiving presentations.

If you (or anyone else reading this message) would like to explain why you
are chosing to save your presentations as *.pdf and/or have some
suggestions as to what additional capabilities could be added to PowerPoint
which would mitigate the need to convert your presentation to a *.PDF
format, don't forget to send your feedback (in YOUR OWN WORDS, please) to
Microsoft at:

http://register.microsoft.com/mswish/suggestion.asp

As with all product suggestions, it's important that you not just state
your wish but also WHY it is important to you that your product suggestion
be implemented by Microsoft. Microsoft receives thousands of product
suggestions every day and we read each one but, in any given product
development cycle, there are only sufficient resources to address the ones
that are most important to our customers so take the extra time to state
your case as clearly and completely as possible.

IMPORTANT: Each submission should be a single suggestion (not a list of
suggestions)
