Importing Large Text Files

I am trying to use the Import External Data Text Wizard and I get an error
message stating that the file is too large to fit on one sheet. It igves me
the option to import as much data as will fit and then import the data not
already imported using the text wizard, but it doesn't say how. When I move
move to sheet 2 in the workbok and repeat the Import External Data Wizard it
imports the same data as before and gives me the same error message again.
Does anyone know how to correctly import a large data file that will not fit
on one sheet?

Thanks!

Hi Ramona,
I think its best to use Access in stead of Excel for large datasets.
Another thing you can do is -of course- to split the dataset in 2 or
more parts.
Hope this helps!

The Excel text importer leaves a lot to be desired. Frankly I'd edit the
text file, deleting all the rows that were successfully brought into Excel,
and do another import.

What do you mean by large? A Jet database can only hold 2GB. What do
you mean by 'Access'? The MS Access UI can be used as a front end for
more capable databases including SQL Server.
