Does anyone know how to import into Office 2003 from a
Works address book??

Works address book has a filename of: '*.wab'. Outlook
only has options for importing from a "Personal Address
Book" ('*.pab'), which must be very close to the same
thing, but no Works Address Book ('*.wab') capability.

Does anyone know a way to get the information from
the 'filename.wab' file into the Office 2004 Address
Book???

Or is there a way to convert from Works Address Book
(wab) to a Personal Address Book (pab) and then be able
to import that way?

Help appreciated,
Cris

P.S. Why does Microsoft Corp. now offer NO free support
for personal-line products??? (The old free online
suuport, and even the free e-mail support was fine with
me. This sucks big time. I pay $650 dollars for a
program that leaves me in the dark??) I'm going to
carevully keep track of the Office look-alikes and
abandon this raping Microsoft as soon as I can.

Connect the wab-file to Outlook Express and choose Import from with Outlook
and select to Import Internet Mail and Addresses.

Note that your product comes with 2 free support tickets. Also note that
they have a great amount of documentation on www.technet.com which is free
just like the newsgroups. They also have http://office.microsoft.com where
you can find product courses and FAQ's for free as well. It's a choice they
made which I think is a good one as the resources available are sufficient
to answer general consumer questions or bring up new ones in the newsgroups
which is monitored by quite a lot of people who are in close contact with or
simply are Microsoft. The telephone and e-mail support is more targeted to
the corporate user who might have unique questions.

Also note that if a KB article states you'll have to call for a hotfix the
hotfix will be delivered free of charge.

So there is lot of free support; you just need to look closer.

Or File>Export>Address Book from within Outlook Express.
