I am new to using Xpe, I need to add an Mpeg encoder to my system.

The hardware workings ok in my XP system.

When i use Componet Desiger and import the .inf file for the hardware i get
the folloing in the log file

Info:Processing file : C:\XPE\IceBlue driver\driver\breeze.inf
Info:INF Importer is creating look up tables. This will take a few minutes.
Please wait...
Info:More than one component has the same Concordance ID [NETELLIGENT 56K PC
CARD FAX MODEM:PCMCIA\NETELLIGENT_56K-PC_CARD_FAX_MODEM-6511].
Info:More than one component has the same Concordance ID [KTI KF-230TX/2
10/100 BASE-TX FAST ETHERNET ADAPTER:PCI\VEN_10EC&DEV_8139&SUBSYS_71008E2E].

and the list will go on.

Can you help why do i get "more then one componet"

Also when I save the sid file and import it into a project i get 0 byte file
size.

Can you help

Many thanks

Graham

Hi Graham,
you may safely ignore Concordance warning in the log file, just check at the
log's file end to find Errors messages about missing files.
All files that the INF requires should be in the same folder where INF is,
so add all that lacks.
After CD has imported INF a new SLD is created, but needed files should be
put in repository, and imported to the database using DB manager.
Look in help howto for details.

1. How many components do you get?
2. INF import is only part of the process. A repository is still needed for
the files and a link must be made between the component and the repository.

HI Sean

Many thanks

I have may so move forward on get the components in to a repository, I can
now see the file in the repository folder, the only problem I had was I had
to copy the to other repository folders, I think the problem is with the
groups.

When I am in Component Designer and I load the sld for my component I would
like to know under repositories what Group Memberships should I use,

Many thanks

Graham.
