I need to give a logo to a powerpoint user. In an older
version of powerpoint, you were able to recolor a tif
file to make the background of the tif file match your
presentation background. What file format should be used
to allow powerpoint user to change the foreground and
background of the graphics file?

PowerPoint can no longer recolor any type of bitmap file regardless of
format.
Bummer.

If you can supply the logo as a WMF or other purely vector format, they'll
still be able to recolor.
Better yet, you can supply a vector graphic that has no background, so it
becomes something of a non-issue.
