I am trying to get my contacts from a Palm OS (for my phone) to Outlook 2007.
I was told to export the contacts to Excel, then from Excel to Outlook. I
havent really used either very much. I was also told to check on
complications in going from the Excel of 2000 to the Outlook of 2007. can
this be done ( i haven't opened the Outlook 2007 box yet)
Thanks

Short answer: yes it's possible and easy to accomplish

Words of advice if you haven't used either product much which may save you
some aggravation:

#1 - If you can export your Palm OS contacts to a CSV (comma separated)
file - would choose that instead or if you can't
#2 - Export to Excel and then open the Excel file and save it as a CSV file
#3 - Import the CSV file into Outlook

Reason for the above, if the export process doesn't created a "named range"
in the exported file, you're going to encounter an error message to that
effect when importing the file in Outlook (if a named range is created
during the export process - then everything above is a non-issue and can be
ignored).
