Importing foreign disks

Hi Group,

I have a peculiar problem. I pulled a drive out an old workstation and
I've connected it to my laptop via a USB-IDE adapter. The drive does not
show up in 'My Computer' If I go into Disk Manager, I can see it there
but it is showing as 'Foreign' A little googling has shown me that I
should right-click and select 'Import Foreign Disk' however, this is not
shown as an option for me. I'm using Win2kSP4.

Any ideas gratefully received.

This is an old post, but the author had the same problem and recovered the
data using Knoppix:
