importing external program

Hello all,

I'm in the process of building an image right now for deployment, and part
of this will involve running a program of our own making as the sole
application (think kiosk). My question is, how do I import a program into
the component database so that I can add it to the image and have it run as
the sole application? Or, would this be better accomplished some other way?

I see that in Target Designer there's a component listed as "shell
prototype." Would that have anything to do with it?
