Importing Excel Spreadsheets

Hello,
Whenever I try to import more than 2 MS-Excel 97 spreadsheets into an MS-Access 97 database,
I get:
"Error in creating table(s)."
Can someone tell what's happening...

I think I need more information. Are you trying to import
worksheets that have the same name (a possible cause of
this error)? How large are these worksheets (rows,
columns)? Do these worksheets have blank rows or columns?
Are these worksheets replacing existing tables? Can you
link the worksheets to your database instead of importing
them, or doesn that cause a similar error?

Sorry to ask so many questions, but there must be a
reason, and I am merely seeking it.
