Importing Emails Without Exporting

Hello everyone :)

Ok so, I'm trying to figure out how to import emails from an old hard drive
that is not bootable. Since I can't boot the drive, I can't do an export
with office, but I can view the files on the drive from the system I am
currently running... Does anyone know where files such as emails and contacts
are kept so that I can import them onto my new setup?

Any help would be much appreciate, Thanks :D

D,

If you are using Outook and not Outlook express, you can easily move files
over. If you can locate your PST file on the old hard drive it's easy. Open
your current Outlook and select File from the menu, then Open "Outlook Data
file". Then navigate to the area where the PST file is on the old hard drive.
Once you find it , it will open under another personal folder. From there you
can drag and drop the mail, contacts etc to the new PST, or import if you
wish.

If you don't know where the PST file is located, it is usually under
Documnets and settings.
Your Profile Name
Local Setings
Application data,
Microsoft
Outlook - The you should see the PST files, you will probably see
a Outlook.pst and archive.pst.

If you cannot see this file structure you might have to click on "Tools,
Folder Options, View, Then select "Show hidden files and folders.

Good luck.

Thanks Clayton. :) My Documents and Settings folder is corrupted (it was a
crappy backup), but thanks for your help. It might be helpful in my future.

It has been helpful in the future. :) Using file recovery software, I was
able to rebuild the .pst files and reimport my important sent and recieved
emails.

THANKS CLAYTON!! :D
