How can I import the email account settings from a backup on an external drive?
I used the files & settings transfer wizard to backup all the files on my pc
before formatting the drive and reinstalling windows xp.
After an initial problem viewing my old outlook.pst file caused by some
mcafree drivers which I have now corrected so that I am able to view all of
my old contacts and emails etc, but I can't work out how to import the email
account settings. There were around 6 pop3 accounts setup, and I really don't
want to hunt around for all the various passwords, pop3 settings etc.
I have located the outlook.srs file within the backup file and tried
importing that but that didn't work and am now stumped as to how I can do
this?

Is there anyone who can help on this question? i have noticed the MVPs
answering quite a few other questions but not this one?
Thank you.

Since the account settings are in the registry, if File and Settings Wizard
allows you to selectively restore registry keys, then I suppose so, in
theory.
