I exported my contact list into excel and then imported it into outlook 2003.
I did not realize that the e-mail addresses where not in excel. Is there
any I can import the e-mail address into OL 2003 and match them up to the
appropriate contact. What would be the quickest way to enter the appropriate
e-mail address to my contacts?

Why?

What did you use to export them? What are you really trying to accomplish?
Were you trying to transfer your items from one version of Outlook to
another?

Brian,

Yes I am trying to transfer from one outlook to another. The problem is
that the outlook that I am transferring from is not completely up to date so
if I did another transfer of all contact information I would loose some
contact information from my current outlook files. I am just trying to
extract the e-mail address and match them up with the contacts that I do
have. I am not sure if it is possible.

If I understand correctly, what you want to do is import another file of
information that contains the email addresses that were not present
originally and "update" existing contacts in your contact folder.

There is no facility to "update" contacts within Outlook's import function.
You would need a 3rd party product (i.e. ContactGenie DataPorter is one -
see link below) or write your own code. What you would need to ensure is
that there is a field (or set of fields) that can be used to specifically
match the contacts in the contact folder to the data contained in the input
data file.

With Outlook closed on the source computer, copy the PST from that PC to the
new PC, place it on the hard disk, remove the read-only attribute if
necessary, and open it on the new PC in Outlook with FiIle>Open>Outlook Data
File. You can then drag-and-drop as you wish from the old PST to the new.
