Importing Data

I am using Windows 98 SE and Access Office 97. I am unable
to import data from excel when creating a new database
because only database files show up in the "Files of Type"
window. How do I get "Excel Files"or "All Files" to show
up in the "Files Type" window?

This is probably caused by the files required for this not being registered
properly on your computer. Have a look at
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;171955&Product=acc97
for ways to fix this.
 
I had the same problem and your article fixed it!
Thanks very much. I had to rename the dll's in order to reselect the items
in the install program.
