Importing data to a specified table

Is it possible to import data from e.g. a dbase 5 to a spedcified table in access? If how do I do that? Every time I try to import the data, Access creates a new table. But I need the data to updtate an existing table

Please help me, thanks.
 
Polle,

Try linking the dBase5 table first (File|Get External Data|Link). Then,
you can design an Append Query to add data from the linked dBase5 table into
your Access table.
