Importing Data From Share Point to Excel

Good Morning:

I am trying to import data from a contact list that I have in Share Point to
an Excel spreadsheet. However, I am receiving the following error message:
"Excel was unable to load a necessry component. This component might have
been damaged or deleted. Reinstall the client software or data source driver
software for your database."

Can you please assist me in correcting this issue? Any help would be
appreciated. Thanks in advance!

What version of Excel do you have? you will need XP or 2003 for this
operation

Thanks for the information, Nick. However, I am trying to import data INTO
Excel. These KB articles are related to importing into SharePoint from Excel.

The transfer does not use an ODBC driver.
 
Has there been any updates concerning this issue at all? It is very time
critical that this situation is resolved soon.
