I tried to export from Gmail and import to Windows Contacts and the names
were imported, but not the email addresses. I also monkeyed around with
setting up the database.
Take a close look at the contents of that CSV file you exported from Gmail.
It is best to open it in Excel, but if you don't have that, you can open the file
in Notepad. Are the email addresses there? If so, the import process
allows you to assign specific fields to different target fields.
HOW do you assign specific fields to different target fields? I've tried
about 40 times to "map" the fields and can't figure it out. it only allows
one field. Help.
Mario
did you ever get an answer to your question about the transfer from gmail to
windows mail? If so could you share it with me at (e-mail address removed) THANKS
The process is fairly self-evident. Just export the contacts from Gmail,
then import that CSV file into Windows Mail contacts.
Let us know which step you are stuck at.
