Importing contacts from Yahoo to outlook

I have tried unsuccessfully to import my yahoo contacts into outlook 2007. I
saved it has an .xlxs file (1997-2003 compatible) but I get a "translation
error". I am running office 2007 which I have found have compatability
issues all over the map. I have tried saving it as a 2007 .xls with the same
result. So does anyone know if the issue exists with excell or with yahoo?
Is there a way to overcome this problem? Also, can I import my email from
yahoo or is this a grievous waste of time.

if you can get your addresses from yahoo in csv format, you can import into
outlook.

How did you get outlook? In a suite without office apps or standalone?
