How can I importmy contacts from Outlook to Outlook express. The files are
saved as .pst files but Outlook epxress won't recognize them

Thank you

You must first export them into a format Outlook Express can import. Most
people use CSV.

oops. i forgot to reply before posting. any thoughts on how i can import a
..pst file that is on a CD into Outlook Express? I can't convert it because it
already exists and I can't see any way to "save as" or anything else I can
think of. I have contacts and emails from a previous job that I'd like to get
into my home computer/outlook express.

You can't without having Outlook installed. Download a trial version of
Office 2007, connect the pst to Outlook, do your data transfer and then
uninstall the Office Trial....

Thanks. I am anxious to do that because I can't afford to screw up my email
account. It is my life line to finding a job, and I'm not that confident I
can do it without screwing things up. Can you have both Outlook and Outlook
express installed? I'm also not too sure how to "connect the pst to Outlook
and do the data transfer." I assume you mean import the pst file?

Absolutely - they are two entirely different applications.

No. You don't do any importing - it can corrupt data.
