I have unsuccessfully attempted for two days to import a
contact list from excel to outlook even after naming the
fields, mapping fields and following directions. 121
contacts with phone, email, address, etc result in
between 1,200 entries up to 34,000 entries in outlook.

Please tell me how to import so all the pieces of
information from one contact end up in one complete
contact entry - not hundreds of individual entries with a
phone number in one, a name in another and so on.

Thank you for your help. (e-mail address removed)

Are all the fields for ONE contact in the same ROW - sounds like you have
multiple lines per individual contact. Ergo - you should only have 121 rows
in your spreadsheet. If you do - then just make sure you're "named range"
covers all the rows/columns including the header row - you want to import.
Else, export the file to a CSV file and import that.

PS - Your contact fields must be the column headers of each row - you can't
have your contacts setup "vertically" (i.e. column names being the first
field in each row and each row being a different field)
