Importing Contact list

I am using Outlook 2003. I ran detect & Repair teh other day and lost all of
my addresses and Contacts. I found an old .pst file dated 11-15 so I imported
it to Outlook. All was well except that I lost a few more recent email but no
big whoop there. However, when I create a new message and click on the "To"
button I get a message that reads "The address list could not be
displayed. The Contacts folder associated with this address list could not be
opened; it may have been moved or deleted...etc"

My Contact list does have my addresses in it.

I guess I need to know how to associate the Contact list and if there is a
more recent version of my .pst file available somewhere--
Thanks--

I have followed the support suggestion. The Contact list now appears as a
'choice' when I click "new" & "to".. How do I make it the default address
book and save the extra step? Thanks
