I am trying to backup my BCM info to another computer as I have a feeling
mine is about to bite the bust. I got all of the contacts over with their
phone #'s, addresses, etc... But here's the thing:

I don't know if there is a "better" way to do this going forward but in the
past I have always made notes about previous discussions by going to new ->
business note -> then by typing a brief description.
Additionally I have all kind of appoinments in the future on my original
computer. Those don't seem to 'migrate' over either when I do the
export/import process.

Any thoughts?

Thanks

Hi jgrif08,

Backup and Import Export includes all history items.
Are you using BCM 2007 with Service Pack 1?

-Sat

Look in my documents and you will see a folder called my business. Your BCM
files should be located there. Under the BCM tab you will see Database Tools.
You can export and import from there. Good luck

Thank you TJ.

Sat - I'm using outlook 03 I believe and service pack 2

TJ - In My Documents I see three items relating to BCM. I see a Folder
called 'Business Contact Manager' but there is actually nothing inside of
this folder (I think it may be one I created for some reason but never used).
Other than that I see two text documents called BCM_impexp and BCM_cusomer
respectively...

am I in the right place here?

If so, I'm not totally clear on how to move forward from this point.

Thanks again.
