I am transferring my old address book and messages from Outlook Express (on
another computer) to a new computer with Windows Vista.
I have followed all Microsoft help instructions, and all my messages are now
safely in the new computer in Windows Mail (I successfully imported them
through Windows Mail - File > Import > Messages > and on through these pages).
My address book is sitting on the new computer (as a CSV file created from
Outlook Express), ready to be imported.
However, I cannot find a way to import it - when I go down the recommended
Windows Mail route of File > Import > Windows Contacts, I get a small
dialogue box come up with a white cross in a red circle. No message contained
in this box, just the white cross within the red circle. So no way of tracing
the error. This box appears immediately when I hit the "Windows Contacts" in
the import menu.
Any ideas gratefully accepted!
Thanks in advance!
