All,
I was wondering if there is a way to import a chart from excel into
powerpoint, and update the data on the chart in powerpoint if the data is
changed in excel. I am pretty sure it can be done, but unsure how. Anyhelp?

Copy the chart in Excel, then use Edit|Paste Special and choose Paste Link
in PPT. Now when you update the chart in Excel, it should update in PPT.

Make sure you don't move the Excel file, or PPT will lose the link to it.
Best practice is to put the Excel file in the same folder with the PPT file
before creating the link to it.

Conveniently, this answer I just posted to a slighly different questionw will do
nicely here too.

Select the info you want to use in Excel then choose Edit, Copy.
Switch to PPT and choose Edit, Paste Special, put a check next to Link and
verify that PPT will paste Excel Worksheet Object or Excel Chart Object (or
words to that effect ... but NOT anything to do with HTML). Click OK.

Thanks all, I got it figured out!
