Importing Bacground from Word file

I created an image in 2003 Word using a series of different colored grouped
text boxes and I'd like to use this as a background for several powerpoint
presentations.
Is there a way to do this without pasting it to each and every slide? It's
going to be used by several people. I tried "insert slide" but all I get
with that is my image as a huge text box that moves all over the slides when
highlighted. Thanks in advance for any help.

Will it work if you paste it to a Master slide and then save the Master
slide set as a template? (View, Master, Slide Master.)

Yes, I played around with it some more and ended up doing exactly what you
suggested. Thank you!
