Importing Audio from CD

We are not able to import audio from a cd. I receive an error message saying it is a file type not supported by movie maker. Is there a way to save it as a .wav file. I get this with any CD I try to download music from. There has to be an easier way.

MM2 can't import directly from a music CD..... you need to use something
like Windows Media Player to copy the music to your hard drive first and
then import it into MM2.
