Depends on the version of PowerPoint you are using. If you are using
PowerPoint 97 or before, then GIF's (motion graphic file format) do not
animate. If you are using 2000 or more recent then saving the animated
graphic to a file on the hard disk drive file, then inserting this file into
your PowerPoint is the best method.
The animation will only activate during the show, not during the editing.
