I am using Outlook 2000 on a Windows XP computer. I installed a program
called Ella for Outlook. This is a spam program to get rid of spam in your
inbox. Ever since, it has deleted all my emails. However I had remembered
that I had deleted them into the recycle bin and retrieved them. So i went
along to import them and Outlook threw up some error messages such as
something about your profile being changed and it would remove your shortcuts
and etc. It went well. Again my emails got deleted why, I do not know. So the
next time I tried to import it would not work at all. It threw up a specific
message which is as follows: "The messaging interface has returned an unknown
error. if the problem persists restart Outlook." I have tried restarting
Outlook and the computer but to no avail. PS My IOLFree email account is
refusing to display the new email probably as a result of this.

What do you mean by "import" ? If they're in your deleted items folder, you
can just drag them back to your inbox if you wish.

What did you do exactly before you got this error message?
It went well.

You may need to recreate your Outlook profile entirely at this point, as I'm
not sure what you've done.

Also, I'm not familiar with that particular antispam program but you might
want to check out SpamBayes....works quite well for many.

I meant i deleted them into the recylce bin. I had exported them to a .PST
file so i could see them in Windows Explorer. and thus that is how I deleted
them. Before the error emssage came up, I was using the Spam program when the
error message came up.

Where can I get hold of Spam Bayes.
Thank you for your time. However i found out it was that Outlook could not
handle anymore emails as I had over 10,000 emails in one folder(Inbox
folder). But thank you so much all the same. Much appreciated. Now my next
email problem is to deal with Spam (my latest nightmare). How do I download
every single email whether its read or not in my IOLFree even though I have
read my emails online. Is there a way I could download them as I plan to
change my email address in the near future.

It can handle that. Just not very well. That's a lot.

Not sure what you mean. You can download everything - with POP/IMAP, you do.
