I'm having a hard time getting my old address book (from Outlook 2003)
transferred over to my new (Outlook 2007) folder. I'm also having the same
problem with getting my Personal folder transferred over as well.

thanks for any help,
jD

Was this an upgrade? Usually the data will migrate.
You can open your old data file via File | Open and copy what you want over.
The address book is just a representation of your Contacts folder.

BillR- thank you for the response. Since I'm not much of a tech guy, I am
continuing to have problems. I bought a new machine, so it's not an upgrade
to 2007 from 2003. I'm just trying to transfer over off of my old machine
all my addresses and personal folders. I did go to the 'data file' that you
mentioned, but nothing seemed to transfer over. any ideas for a poor old
layman? thanks again, jd

You just copy that PST file to the machine then use File | Open ...
Have you got that far?
If you copy via CD or DVD make sure it isn't set to read-only.

well it looks like I somehow got my addresses to copy over, but I'm still
not having any luck with my 'personal' folders from Outlook 2003. any ideas?
thanks, jD

The Personal Folders are also located in a PST file. Locate that PST
file, transfer it the same way to your new system, then open it with
Outlook.
