Importing Accounts to BCM

Trying to import accounts into BCM from an Excel
spreadsheet, get a "Import Fatal Error." Have also tried
CSV format, also with no success... Anyone have an idea?
Also trying to delete a contact I erroneously assigned to
an account, can't find a way to do that... I gather BCM
must be an alpha product? Is it ready for prime time?

Not sure what's going on with your import error. Do you have the same
problem if you try to import Contacts? When do you get that error (what
stage of the import)?

For the other question, click the ellipses button that is next to the
Primary Contact field in the Account form. Then click the Clear Selection
button at the bottom of the box that pops up.

For your third question...BCM is a version 1 product. It does have bugs. But
overall I've found it to be a good program. Your mileage may vary.

Solved the import problem by using the "Clear Cache"
function; apparently something was corrupted. But the
import worked successfully.

However, with adding/removing contacts: I cannot add a
primary contact -- I select the name from the contacts
list, hit "OK" and nothing comes up on the account form.
Also still cannot delete the "Business Contact" further
down. I tried going into the Add function, tried
removing the name using the < function; it took it off
the list, but when I returned to the account form, it was
still there. Tried removing the old name and adding a
new one; it will not accept the new name, it keeps the
old one.

Hmmm, is this with all accounts or just one particular account?

Try using the steps I gave previously. Rather than using the Add button of
the Business Contacts section of the Accounts form, go to the Primary
Contact section, directly under the Account name. Click the Ellipses button
and then click Clear Selection.

After that see if you can delete the Contact in the Business Contacts
section.

Apparently it was one account. I deleted and recreated
the account, and it now seems to be happy. But I also
found same problem with the contact; had to delete and
recreate it as well.

Now am trying to use "list" view to look at all contacts,
as I thought maybe that would be an easy way to update
the contacts with correct account. But I can only find
the "company" field in the list, and I don't
think "company" and "account" are the same... Any
thoughts on that one?
