One of my customers is trying to import a file into access
as a table and it won't even pop up the wizard. We tried
importing a csv, tab delimited, and xls and none of them
work. It just flashes and then sits there. It's not
locked up, it just doesn't import. It doesn't even pop up
that wizard to import. Same thing happens with linking.
We tried repairing office and uninstalling and
reinstalling it and nothing is fixing it.

Any ideas?

Thanks for any help!

Just wanted to say thanks! That fixed it right up. For
some reason they must not have been registering.

You may have to re-register some of the dll files:
Do a search on ACCWIZ.DLL, it should be in the system
folder - it will vary depending on the operating system
(i.e. Win2000 = C:\WINNT\System32\Accwiz.dll)

[START] > Run...
regsvr32 C:\WINNT\System32\Accwiz.dll

replacing the path with the path to where your file is
located. If that doesn't work try re-registering the
following files in the same manor:

msexcl35.dll Excel files
msxbse35.dll DBase
mspdox35.dll Paradox
mstext35.dll Text, CSV, tab-delimited files

Hope this helps.
