Importing a saved project into a different collection on the timel

I'm a fairly new user & not very good at technical speak!
I capture a length of video & only need a few minutes of it, which I edit. I
need to delete the rest so it doesn't fill the computer's memory. I save that
edited portion & it goes into 'My Videos' with a WMM icon.
Later when I have the next set of clips ready to accept the previously saved
file, I don't seem to be able to work out how to do it. If indeed it's
possible, that is!
Also I'm building the whole to make a DVD & want to be able to add all these
little bits of saved files.
So far the only way I've been able to achieve this is to drag the new clips
into the existing saved project & edit there, but that doesn't give me the
opportunity to delete unwanted footage. So the memory is filling up too
quickly.
How do I import a saved project into another saved or unsaved project?

Ok...I guess you mean it's a .mswmm file.
This is a project file and does not include
or affect the original source file. If you are
positive that you want to delete the left over
portions of your video try the following.

When you have the clip split and edited the
way you want it. Save it as a movie file. If
you plan to burn a DVD later...it would probably
be best if save in the DV-AVI format.

To save as an .avi movie file...
(and several other options)
Type...Ctrl+P to open the Save Movie Wizard /
Choose...My Computer /
Next /
Enter a Name and a Save Location /
Next /
Show More Choices /
Other Settings /
Open the drop window and choose...DV-AVI /
Next /
Wait while the movie is saved /
Finish...

Now you have a completed video.
Again...if you are sure you no longer
need the original file...go to the folder it is
saved in and delete it. Better yet and safer...
save your un-needed files on a CD. You
never know when you might say wow...
I wish I had them back.

When you import the finished movies into
Movie Maker to join them into the final project...
each one will be in a folder...all you have
to to is open each folder and left click/drag
the movie file into the folder of your choice.
You can place all of them in one folder if you
wish and delete the remaining folders.

If you go to the following site and navigate to:
"Manage Your Files"...you'll find some useful info.
