I need to import a PP Presentation into a Word document.
It needs to appear as an appendix, but I don't want all 40
pages of the presentation to appear. I want them grouped
with 4-6 slides per page.

Try File/Send to Word. You can get 3 slides/page that way, then you'll need to do some manipulation to get to 4 or 6. After that, you can append those pages to your main document.

A better solution for you might be Shyam's Handout Wizard. http://www.mvps.org/skp/how/ You should be able to use it to get the 4 or 6/page in the first place.

Doing this (an having it appear nicely) will involve a couple of steps.

1) In PowerPoint, click on the following sequence: File | Save As |
((Choose a directory)) {Save as Type -- pulldown at the bottom of the dialog
box} JPG | Save

When asked, select 'Save every slide'. This will create a directory with
miniatures of your slides as JPG pictures. Look thru the pictures and
delete any you do not want.

2) In Word, go to the appendix where the slide images belong, then Insert |
Picture... | From File and select all the JPG slide images in the directory
you just created. Arrange them to look pretty.

Good luck Denise,
