Importing a live web cast.

Can movie maker copy a live web cast off of a web site. Like maybe importing the file. Note file ext. is .asx. If so how? Or is there some other way to record the web cast. It will be video and audio. Show will be at midnite but I would like to show a friend or two about this show the next day. The show will be 30 min long. Go ahead and e-mail this info. to me. Need this info by June 7 2004

Hello there,

Movie Maker is not capable of capturing this type of output.

In the past I have been able to right click the web cast and use the "Save
As" option. What you will be able to do will greatly depend on whether the
author of the web cast has protected it or not.

Some time back I did a search for a program that would capture live
content. There are one or two available all at a price which I thought was
a bit high.....just did a quick search and nothing.....
