Using Outlook 2007 at work and at home, I regularly export my office calendar
to a PST file and then import this PST file into my calendar at home
effectively merging my personal and office calendars on my home computer This
has worked fine for over a year.

Today however, many of the imported items were give the prefix "Copy:", so
that instead of the item being "Meeting with Bob" as it appears in my office
computer, it now is labeled "Copy: Meeting with Bob". I opened the PST file
directly and the items there do not have this prefix. I always use the option
to replace duplicate items so I'm not sure what went wrong.

Any ideas?

Thanks,

Kevin

Any idea if there is a way to disable this "feature"? :-)

Thanks,

Kevin

No, I'm not aware of any way to turn it off. Sorry.

Any update regarding this?

We have users copying calendar items from public folders to personal
calendars.

We'd love to suppress the "Copy:" prefix.

Cheers,
Trevor

I'm having the same issue, although I am opening up a PST file and then
dragging the appointments from my work calendar over onto my home calendar.
I've noticed though that it does not do this for every appointment. I
haven't figured out a pattern yet as to which appointments it adds the Copy:
prefix.

I do hope they fix this to allow you to turn it off.
