THIS IS NOT A SPAM MESSAGE


I recieved a call today from an offshore random dialer. It is a premium rate international call center that reverses the call at premium rates of which you get charged for. If you pick up the phone it is just silent at the other end!
As yet I do not know the cost of the call. But I know i wont be getting charged for it I will make sure of that!! It is highly illegal and can result in fines from £5000 to £50000

00140 7111 1111

I repeat this is not a hoax message it happened to me today and I am contacting OFCOM tomorrow. I will keep you informed of what they say.

Just one thing - how do you know its a reverse-charges call?

I had to force Virgin media CSR to investigate it before I came off the phone. She did some digging up and found a reference to the number

Of course I only have her word for it!
