import videos

I've been able to import videos for a long time but lately I can't. Even
though I can import pictures shot from the same camera when I try to import
videos (shot from the same camera) this message appears: The file
C:\Documents and Settings\TravelMate\My Documents\My Pictures\party\New
Folder\MOV05095.MPG is not valid because it does not contain any information.
Could anyone please help me understand what the problem is cause I've tried
everything and still nothing happens. Thanks !!!
 
Thank you very much for your interest. The thing is that yesterday night I
tried to import videos into the collections of the movie maker at a friend's
computer and everything was ok. So i guess there is a problem with my movie
maker and not the camera. But i can't figure out where is the problem!!! Do
you have any ideas?
 
Change the location of where you put the capture. It may be that it is too
many subfolders down.

Movie Maker does not support MPEG files particularly MPEG2. You should
convert these to uncompressed AVI format if you want to edit it in Movie
Maker.

You can use VirtualDubMod to do this conversion.
