Hi!

Iam looking for a way to automatically update the User Information in
the Active directory (W2K3), for instance Last Name, Telephone Number,
etc.. from a Exchange Public Folder (2003).

We are maintaining Information like Office, Telephone Number,
Department, User-Name, etc.. in this Public Folder and now we want
it to synchronize it with the User Properties but until now we havent
found a way except writing it in manually.

Is there a easier way to do that?

Thanks in advance.

Jurgen,

I am not sure what you have in mind with the Public Folder item BUT - - -

What we do is that I get updates from Human Resources and use a Perl script
to parse the updates, then use LDIFDE to update phone, street address etc.

You can also do with with a VBS script (personal preference) but basically
you need to

1. Get the information
2. Parse it
3. Do a scheduled / daily run of a script to do the updates.

Thanks. Do you know where i can find some example scripts so
i have something to start with?

TIA.

I am about to go out of town until monday.

Either send me a side email with how your data exists / can be exported from
the public folder OR give me a call at the office.
