Import tables from an ODBC database

I am wanting to import tables from an ODBC (SQL) database. I have set up an
ODBC driver, which I can access in Excel. I can't seem to figure out where I
go to get the Select Data Source window. I am sure it is something simple I
am overlooking. Can anyone help me?
 
1) Use File|Get External Data|Import or |Link as usual.

2) In the Import dialog, go to the "Files of type:" dropdown and
select ODBC Databases().

3) The Select Data Source dialog should now appear.
 
John, I did that and when I click on the ODBC Databases () file type the
Import dialog box disappears and nothing happens.
 
If you're using Norton Anti-virus, try disabling the Office plug-in.
There are reports that this can cause this or a similar problem.
Otherwise, repairing your Office installation (or uninstalling and
reinstalling) may help.
