Import Specifications

I have an import specification that is used to import a text file into Access. I now need to add a field at the end of the spec because the input file has changed. Every time I add the field and save the spec (or create a new spec), the field disappears. It will not save my changes. I've tried everything I can think of to get it to work. Any ideas?
