Psd is a PhotoShop format. You will need to convert to an image format (suc
a jpeg or png) using PhotoShop, PS Elements, or if you do not have either o
those I believe Irfanview can handle them (and it is free!)

RE: import scanned images .psd format into PowerPoint
If you have Photoshop installed on the computer, then you can insert
bject
then click 'Create from File' and browse to the file that you want to insert
This will allow you to insert files in other formats, and keep them as thei
native format (double clicking on the item in PPT will open it in Photosho
and allow you to edit the file
This may be PC only, cannot say if it is compatible with Mac. I believe th
graphic will show up if you open the presentation on the Mac, just may not b
openable/editable (I have used this with PDFs mostly, I am pretty sure the
show up on the Mac
Note that this may increase the file size of the presentation considerably
if the file you are inserting is large
